Our team of tutors have been carefully selected to reflect our commitment to helping young people achieve academic and personal success.
All of our tutors are qualified QTS teachers with many years of teaching experience under their belts, both in the classroom and online.
As you would expect, every one of them is DBS checked and has completed at least Level One Safeguarding and Child Protection Children Training.
We’re extremely proud to be members of the Tutors Association – the only government-regulated body for tutors in the UK.
Jemma Roye
founder of Grow Achieve Soar Academies Ltd
Jemma is the Founder and Managing Director of Grow Achieve Soar Academies. She is a qualified teacher with over 16 years experience of teaching in both the state and independent sector.
Jemma’s work as an academic coach and mentor is her driving force. She is passionate about the well- being and inclusive education of young people.
Lavina Lewis
Ks1 & Ks2 Lead Tutor
A highly sought after tutor of ours, Lavinia has over 25 years of teaching experience. She is specialised in teaching all abilities and works carefully to tailor her lessons for her students.
She has a wonderful ability of raising both student confidence and progress and there isn’t a parent or child that doesn’t love Lavinia’s lessons!

English Lead Tutor
Jackie is a dynamic and passionate English specialist with experience of GCSE English Literature & English Language
She is highly skilled in encouraging students to challenge themselves.

Karla Stone
11+ Specialist
Karla is our 11+ specialist. With over 30 years of teaching experience, she is highly qualified in helping students to prepare for common entrance exams and the 11+ process.
She is skilled in encouraging students to challenge themselves and is a specialist at helping students to achieve the best that they can.
Julie Ball
English, French & Spanish Tutor
Julie is a successful KS2-KS5 English, French and Spanish teacher.
She is highly experienced in teaching GCSE English Literature and Language. Her love of languages is at the heart of her lessons and she has an exceptional record of student progress.
Julie has extensive experience teaching students with learning barriers and has a passion to see every child she works with unlock their potential.

With over ten years of teaching experience, Sharif is passionate about helping students to achieve their GCSE potential.
Highly skilled in motivating students to achieve their best, Sharif has a track record of adding value to predicted grades GCSE grades.

KS1/KS2 Maths & English Tutor
Katie is a dedicated and creative teacher that brings out the best in all students that she tutors. Presently also working as a Yr 3 teacher, Katie is able to bring her classroom experience to her 1:1 tuition.
Nurturing and supportive by nature, Katie is able to develop quick relationships with students. She is highly skilled in helping students to thrive and grow in confidence.
Kyle Litchmore
English Tutor & Student Mentor
As a Learning Support Practitioner, Kyle is passionate about mentoring young people and working with them to maximise their potential.
His experiences as both an Enrichment Tutor and Progress Coach enable him to support students to grow in their personal and social skills. Kyle is experienced in working with vulnerable learners and those with a range of learning needs and. Kyle is also highly experienced in teaching GCSE English and Functional Skills.

Synthia is an innovative and enthusiastic Maths specialist with over 9 years of teaching experience.
As a former Yr 4 & 5 Phase Leader and Curriculum Lead, Synthia is highly qualified in teaching KS1 & KS2 Maths.
Driven by her passion to see her students grow in confidence, she helps them to connect with Maths in a unique and special way.
Carl Nolan
Accelerate Coach &
Maths & English Tutor
Specialising in coaching and mentoring students, Carl helps students to accelerate in their studies. A qualified football coach, Carl has a natural ability to bring out the best in students.
Experienced in the field of counselling and mental health, Carl also has an MA in Applied Psychology. He is highly experienced in teaching Functional Skills and supporting students with a range of learning needs.

Michael is a qualified Maths teacher with over ten years of experience of teaching both secondary and primary level maths.
He is highly skilled at teaching to all students needs and abilities and has a track record of student success and progress.

KS1-KS3 Tutor
A specialist tutor of Early Years teaching, Phonics, English, Mathematics and the 11 Plus. Abigail has a wealth of teaching experience and has a wonderful way of relating and engaging with all her students.
Abigail’s nurturing approach and focus on rewards and praise, helps all of her students to make exceptional progress. She has a unique way of creating bespoke and personalised leesons of which students thrive in.
